About Our Founder Muhammad Ovais, PhD
Muhammad Ovais is a serial entrepreneur and the visionary founder and leader of PengyouX, a company dedicated to bridging the gap between innovative Med-tech enterprises and global markets. His journey into the world of medical technology began with an academic pursuit that took him far from home to Beijing, yet brought him closer to his calling.
Ovais earned his PhD from the prestigious Chinese Academy of Sciences, where he developed a deep understanding of cutting-edge biomedical research and technologies. He has been recognized globally, being listed twice among the Top 2% of Scientists in a survey by Stanford University-Elsevier. Following his PhD, Ovais embarked on a successful career in China’s medical device sector in Shenzhen, rapidly rising through the ranks to become a Senior Manager and later the Director of Business Development in the world's leading biomedical enterprises. This experience not only honed his technical expertise but also gave him invaluable insights into the burgeoning Med-tech industry in China.
In these roles, Ovais gained firsthand experience with the challenges faced by Chinese Med-tech companies as they sought to expand beyond their borders. He observed a recurring issue: many enterprises struggled to find reliable and cooperative overseas business partners, which hindered their ability to grow and succeed in international markets. Recognizing this gap, Ovais knew that his unique blend of industry knowledge, cross-cultural experience, and strategic vision could make a difference.
Driven by a passion to support these enterprises and help them unlock their full potential, Ovais made a bold decision. He relocated to the United Arab Emirates, a dynamic hub at the crossroads of East and West, and founded PengyouX. His mission was clear—to create a firm that would not only provide expert guidance in business development and regulatory compliance but also build strong, enduring partnerships that would empower Chinese Med-tech companies to thrive on the global stage.
Under Ovais’s leadership, PengyouX has quickly become a trusted partner for international biomedical enterprises, particularly those from China, looking to expand into the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region and beyond. His commitment to excellence, deep industry knowledge, and dedication to fostering collaboration across borders have been instrumental in the company’s growth and success.
